You can say Lee Health.. it’s not like they’re gonna come after you.

Just so you know.. the hiring process into the health system is a long one... it can take up to a month
(or more depending on how many applicants there were) for an offer to be made (most are done by email.. sometimes with a phone call, but usually it’s an email from HR) and another month or more so for system orientation.

Also, HR will email a rejection letter so your wife needs to check her email and her spam box to see if HR emailed her.

Did she reach out to the recruiter or HR for a status update?

It wasn't a month...more like 4. It was for an executive position. There was no need for a rejection letter- She withdrew her application. Everything went smoothly until the end, and then they got sloppy. Red flags were waving and we decided it wasn't for the best to continue.

It's ok though- we have crossed it off our list and are continuing the search in other areas.

That is very strange. My ex is an RN, walked into Lee Memorial and walked out that day with an offer to head up one of their departments. Something either fell between the cracks, or something else. Lee is generally considered one of the best around, especially Health Park.

It could be that Executive position was not needed at this time, or possibly those positions take longer to process.

They can give you a verbal offer right away, but they still have to go through HR who does the ‘official’ one and they set up the one day system orientation. I’ve been able to give offers to applicants and get the ball rolling quickly with a two week turn around time, but you are correct..: some positions do take longer to process.

Honestly? 90% of the time it’s who you know. They do hire from within, which I really like.. they want to give their own people chance before bringing in outsiders.

It doesn’t matter which position you apply for... HR will communicate by email and sometimes it lands in spam or trash.
