Hi!

Retiring to either Ft. Myers or Sarasota area (visited many times in both winter and summer). I was interested in a high-rise condo, spending 650K to 800K, 2-3 bedrooms, 1,500-3,000 square feet, secure/safe with parking garage and amenities (pool would be nice but not required).

When visiting Ft. Myers, I've appreciated the condos on the Caloosahatchee River on First Street because of their proximity to the downtown. I live in a large condo now and recognize the need to have a strong homeowners association that has sufficient reserve and plans well for improvements. Also appreciate a well built building.

Any recommendations on condos/high rises that are exceptional and also those to stay away from?

Thanks for your help. Any info appreciated.

Status update:

Well, I'm not upset that no one answered my question (after being read 528 times ha) even though I thought it was a pretty simple question to ask and there might have been local opinions which would have been nice and added value.

Anyway, someone did PM me (thank you) and put me in touch with an excellent realtor who was knowledgeable and who I could trust and answered my question. So, I guess we can just consider this thread closed.

I know it’s late for an answer but I used to live in High Point Place on west first and it was very nice, 1 minute walk to Publix for groceries. About a 10-15 minute walk to downtown. Has an amazing pool too

Thanks for the additional replies ar4757 and Luvboats. I ended up going another direction and bought a single family pool home in Eagle Reserve. I'll be happy there and feel that it is probably a better investment in the long run if I ever sell or want to rent it out on a limited basis. Thanks again.
