A black greyhound, a 70-pound female, is loose in Lehigh Acres, Florida. The home was broken into (May 8) and Angel is missing. Her other dogs (small ones) are not missing. It's unknown if Angel was abducted or ran away. Angel is friendly and calm, so I'm asking if folks in the area would please be on the lookout for her; she may come to you.
If you see or have Angel please call Jamie at 239-462-5512 or her aunt at 239-851-2663. Her mother, Deb Martin,. Her cell is 239-849-3745.

DO NOT CHASE HER!!! CALL IMMEDIATELY IF SEEN.

Good luck with finding your dog. My father owns greyhounds and they really are wonderful dogs. Hope you find her soon

People wonder why Lehigh gets bashed all the time. We probably would have never heard about 46 burglaries if the news had not done this story. I wish you the best on finding your greyhound and I hope they catch the skum that even took your childs diapers. Now that is a real low life loser.

Thanks so much for your concern!

To Update:
So far there have been 2 reported sightings of a dog that appears to be the greyhound Angel,in Lehigh Acres.

The first one,tuesday nite,May 10th:

17th street between Sunshine Blvd. and Williams Avenue.
This looks to be about 3 miles from the original address she is missing from.

The second,last nite,May 11th:
59th off Hannah off Sunshine Blvd.
This is one mile from the first reported sighting.

If anyone reading this lives in or knows anyone in the Lehigh Acres area, and would like to help flyer or spread the word to neighbors, that would be great!
Hopefully this sweet greyhound will be on her way back to her couch soon.

She is black with a greying, whitish snout. Angel was adopted in 2002 and is dearly loved and so worried about.
Thank you so much if there is some way anyone could help, including wishes, hopes and prayers.

Don't give up. Someone on City-Data who lost a dog was reunited with him last week.

Oh, I just noticed this thread was started in May! I signed on today and saw it was an active thread and posted. Still, animals have found their way home after years. Greyhounds are very smart animals.
