Hello all,
I just wanted to tell everyone who helped me "THANK YOU!" My family and I have finally made our decision. After spending about 9 days traveling between Sarasota, Manatee, and Collier County we have picked Collier.
I have taken the teaching job at Parkside Elementary
Although I have heard lots of pros and cons on the area the school district seems to be phenomenal for an educator and that is what determined my final decision.
Wish me luck on my house hunting. We will be renting for the first year and then hopefully buying a home when we learn the area better.
I just wanted you all to know that the City-Data folks are awesome! Thank you so much for your opinions

I am so glad. It looks like you want a teaching challenge and that is wonderful. If I were a teacher I would have made that choice, too. You really will be making a difference in your students' lives. Fabulous.

Yes, b/c there is a big difference b/w a teacher and an educator! There are always pros and cons in the education field...and if it is the best match for how you educate, you'll be able to push through the cons.
You should be able to get an exceptional rental.

Although I have heard lots of pros and cons on the area the school district seems to be phenomenal for an educator and that is what determined my final decision.
