Maybe a strange topic but...!

We are from Europe and what we are missing when we are in Cape Coral:

Good fresh whole wheat bread

We dont like the bread from Wal-mart, because its not fresh.

Does anyone know good bakery in cape Coral that does sell: fresh Whole Wheat bread and other fresh stuff like croissant etc.

Thanks

There is the Old Time German Bakery on SE 47th. I am not sure about whole wheat breads, you can google and give them a call.

unfortunately, most americans eat over processed, corn fructose and perservative filled dough products that pass for bread.

If you like real bread it may be worth your while to get a bread making machine.

Sometimes you can get halfway decent bread at health food stores, but even then it is often frozen because it doesn't have all the preservatives.

It would be nice if we had more markets that sold fresh breads and veggies you could get each day like they do in cities in Europe, but americans in general are so used to eating junk and are all about convenience.

You may want to try Panera restaurant. I think they bake daily and sell a lot of breads. I know of at least one on Pine Island Rd heading towards N. Fort Myers.

There was a polish deli on Cape Coral Pkwy, she may have home made bread, good kielbasa for sure. When the farmers market starts up, there were a few bakery items there. I miss a nice bakery, not into the publix and such, what can you do.
Pandera bread, good choice as well. Bread machine, hmm, Dear Santa.

Oh! I'm jealous! Have a pierogi, or two, for me!

If you're talking Polish food, there is always Delilah's in Fort Myers and I believe there is another deli that has Polish food in Cape Coral, too.
