Going to be in the area the 7th to the 14th and wanted to go to the museum and was wondering if any of you have been there at holiday time and what it was like.

Is it very crowded with long lines or a more mellow scene? We could go on a week night.

Thanks for any info.

We were there about 3 years ago....was not crowded, just a nice amount of people, but I do not recall the night.

If I remember correctly, we paid a high amount for the tour, and they gave us tickets to return that night for the lights.

We enjoyed it, but thought it was kind of pricey.......

Frank.

It's beautiful, but pricey. We had our Christmas photo taken there a few years ago. It was busy, but not packed. The lights are beautiful and the houses are pretty cool!

I have 2 girls too. They're all grown up, but still my babies.

Always. I imagine you always look at them and just have that overwhelming feeling like, "Didn't I JUST give birth to her?"

It's crazy.

Friday night I volunteered to decorate with my company two rooms and an outside christmas tree at the Edison home. When it's all put together, it's going to be beautiful this year!

I would suggest calling ahead to get an event schedule as they have a few special events: local schools choirs carroling and 106.7 radio station doing a christmas season kickoff night. I think the main stuff starts around the 11th. It might also be worth visiting the other 2 historic ft. myers homes (Burroughs & Langford-Kingston).
