Hi all,

I moved to FW June 4, amd in need of a good reliable trustworthy handyman just for small home repair jobs type stuff. I actually need a window replaced as well and am getting HIGH quotes, so if anyone knows a reasonable contractor to do that, I'd be grateful.

Also any recommendations for a church that is:
conservative
not BIG, not a megachurch/franchise type
traditional hymns not modern "worship jams" or rock bands, a traditional choir
not folks in jeans and halter tops at service, respectful dress

I am Catholic but cannot abide the modern changes in the Catholic church. If there is a more traditional Catholic chuch here that'd be ideal. I've attended a Disciples of Christ church in lieu of finding a traditional Catholic church, when I lived in VA.

Thanks in advance!

Most churches in FW are going to have that "modern" touch. If you really want to get into a traditional church, I would consider any Baptist or Orthodoxal church.

I find a lot of "traditionals" also attending the Lutheran Churches. Emmanuel, Concordia, etc are all Lutheran Churches that have dress code, sing hymms and usually don't contain the "modern" enhancement of worship.

Hope you the best of luck!! :-)

I'll visit the Lutheran ones you suggested, thanks!
Have visited Baptist churches and they are conservative which I like but the preaching style hasn't worked for me, just a feeling or vibe. Too emotional and melodramatic.

I've been looking at church websites and you are so right, most are all about casual dress/modern music.
