I noticed there is a paper mill in Wabash. Is there an odor, like most paper mill towns?

37 views and no one has ever been to Wabash? Or is everyone just shy around here?

I've driven through countless times. But I've honestly never stopped except once at the Penguin Point on the south side of town. I've never noticed any smell driving through.

Ive not noticed any odor the few times I've driven through recently, and I grew up in a town with a paper mill, so I'd recognize the stench.

OTOH, Wabash has a very nice, if small, downtown and close-in neighborhoods, set on some beautiful steep hills of the Wabash River valley. It looks like a nice little town to this passer-through.

I think Wabash has the nicest sounding name of all the cities and towns in Indiana.

Crystal Gayle grew up in Wabash. Crystal Gale is Loretta Lynn's little sister.

That second part, for sure. Wabash is very nicely set along in a steep valley along the Wabash River with the downtown built along a nice hill. It's a rare thing in northern Indiana.

I visit Wabash frequently during the summer months and never noticed an odor. But, I grew up in Muncie during the Marhofer days.

The worst part about driving through downtown Wabash is getting stopped at a light. My 5 speed pick-up truck performs well, but I'm concerned that one day it will start rolling backwards before acceleration.

Ha, that's true! I've never driven through when there was snow on the ground. But some of those stoplights right at the top of a hill could be a bear.
