Hello,

I need some help finding a good place to rent. I am looking for a place, no apartments, 2 bed and 2 baths at least. I just want to know which area of town is generally safe in Fort Worth? I currently live around the medical district. I was looking at duplexes on Julie Ave by Calmont and Cherry Lane but read on another post it is not a safe neighborhood. I have also looked at places all along McCart but was told to stay to the West side is this correct? What about the Hulen area? If anyone has any suggestions please I will be glad to listen. I am looking for rent in the $800 range. Thank you

Try Bryant Irving area, it's a little better neighborhood, but you might not find that the price range may not suit your needs, but you never know!.

I think I just went through what you are going through. I found a place just west of McCart near Bluebonnet Circle, 3bed /1.5 bath in a good looking neighborhood for $1100 that met my needs/wants.

To be blunt, you may need to make some compromise (unless you find something that I couldn't!). For me, neighborhood and condition of the house were the most important. I found that advertised internet rentals were overpriced property management homes. May be best to simply drive through the areas you want to live, there are a lot of rentals in the TCU/ Bluebonnet/ Ryan Place area and neighborhoods vary greatly in condition from street to street sometimes. If you can push your budget to $1000 you might get lucky and find a 2/1.5 in a solid area.

Hope this helps.
