Hi everyone, I recently posted on the Dallas forum, and they suggested I get input about Fort Worth too.

I am a 26/F relocating to the area in the next couple of months. I work in healthcare and will most likely be working part-time in Colleyville and part-time in Arlington. What would the commute be like from Fort Worth? I'd like to live near other young professionals, decent nightlife, good restaurants, and good running trails. I've been told that some of the areas I was initially looking at (Addison and Uptown) would be a terrible commute, so I have been leaning towards Las Colinas. I've also been told to look at So7 and Sundance. Do you have any suggestions on other areas to focus on? I'm looking for a 1-bedroom apartment under $1000. Thanks for your input!

The areas you're looking at will have a long commutes. For $1000 a month you can get a house, but if you're really wanting an apartment then you can check out some places on Main St. Grapevine, TX (near some night life and neighboring city to Colleyville) or around Downtown Fort Worth near the arts district has some nice apartments too (close to Sundance Square).

for 1K you can't get much of a house
and why would a single woman looking for entertainment and fun in spare time want a house which takes much more maintenance and upkeep

The condos at 925 Main in Grapevine are VERY nice! These are the urban/loft style, and the first floor is retail. There are 2 restaurants already in the first floor, and across the street, there are 2 more. You can also walk across the street to the rear of the complex and use the Grapevine Community Center's gym. During Main Street Days and Grapefest (Grapevine's annual festivals on Main Street), you wil be just 1 block away from the fun!
