that one at 930-10 was not the problem for us
the bad weather came through around 430 this AM--hail about the size of marbles and lots of rain
did not have them mounding on the porches like times before but could hear them hitting the roof--
will probably have roofer come out to check status in day or so after it dries out

It was pretty rough in the Haslet/Alliance area. Not to mention weekend guests got up as soon as it started:>(

YEPPERS!
I was driving to DFW at 4:30 this am and got caught in the hail storm...quarter size on 114 by the DFW exit....NOT fun. Almost had a wreck because car in front of us decided to stop under the overpass. Not on the shoulder in the LANE. Then the car in the other lane did the same thign and a semi almost plowed into all of us!

It was over pretty quick though and after I dropped Hubby off NO rain at all on the way home!

Last night around 7:30 saw cloud wall and you could see the vortex trying to start...North keller over to the west. Pretty amazing to watch, it never developed but it tried twice!!

Wow. That was incredibly irresponsible on the part of those drivers. Glad that you are safe. Sometimes people just don't think .

actually some people only think about themselves
glad that you were not in accident because of that

when the big tornado came through FTW and destroyed the BankOne tower and did all the other damage at May Fest
we were trying to hide out at Dairly Queen in Everman and when it was over and we came home we saw dozens and dozens of cars that did the same thing--they parked under the overpasses and then blocked the cars behind them from getting through--
so many cars abandoned with their windshields and windows blown out by those really big hail stones in that storm...

so it does not surprise me that people did it

Glad you are safe 5stones. I have driven my hubby for those early flights as well and it isn't fun especially with the road work at that time of morning, forget about adding any severe weather into the bunch. Glad you are okay!
