One quick question, looking at the maps and reading the answers here creates a very relaxing (maybe isolated) image of Eagle Mountain. I'm looking into relocating to Fort Worth and E.M. sounds nice. Would you say though that it is "in the middle of nowhere" so to speak or are there your regular stores, malls, gas stations, that whole deal?
And how far is it from downtoan FW? thanks a lot guys, I must say this forum is very helpful for people like me... see ya around maybe!
Eagle Mountain area (I live near there as well) is about 20-25 min. from downtown, which is about 10-11 mi. It would be faster, except Jacksboro Hwy. has a ton of traffic lights in that direction. As Guingirl said, the Boat Club Rd. area has many shops and the Lake Worth area is always expanding w/ new businesses. I noticed construction occurring in the property space between Best Buy and Lowe's. I hope a sporting goods store (Dick's or Sports Authority) will be built there -that's the only store we don't have in this area so far.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but we were out there in June 07 and fell in love with a new construction home in Creekwood. Looking at Yahoo maps, there doesn't seem to be a lot in the area? Is that true? Are they building more retail/shopping/infrastructure type things in that area?

Creekwood is between Harmon and Blue Mound. They are building all over so I would imagine that it will be coming. Your closest grocery/retail area would be in Saginaw at Bailey Boswell and Business 287-Main Street.

Yeah what Guingirl said. I wouldn't have the foggiest clue where exactly it is as we dont live in Texas. We just blindly drove around the metroplex last time we were there and fell in love with a Standard Pacific model.

Gotcha, I see. I don't go to the Saginaw part of FW very often; I mostly stay on the Lake Worth side.

Eagle Mountain Saginaw is a great area to start yor family. I moved here in the 9th grade an have been here ever since. The thing about the Eagle Mountain ISD is there are alot of new schools since i was in high school but my kids have been to a few of them already. I have moved all around in the EMSISD. There are places like Lake Worth, Saginaw, Ft. Worth, Blue Mound, an area's around I35 an Fossil Creek that are all EMSISD. My kids attend Greenfield, one of the newer ones. They love it, but my favorite area for EMSISD would have to be Highland Sation area where High Country is located. My child has attended there an also loved it. My mom has lived in Highland Station for 9 yrs now. The area in an around Saginaw has really moved up since I moved here. Lots of restarants, shopping, grocery, ect.... Of course jus like everywhere when you move check the area arond you for sex affenders, we do have quite a few. That's about the only bad thing about Saginaw Area I think, but those people are every where. Good luck! Hope this helped.
