The differences between all the Carroll ISD elementary schools on the basis of test metrics are de minimis. One could rank the schools but the order would likely vary from year to year and be primarily due to random chance. All the schools put up excellent results on objective measures. Deciding between any of them is splitting hairs.

We also recently moved into the Walnut Grove feeder zone (howdy, neighbor!) and are experiences so far (albeit based on only two months of attendance) have been quite good. Our neighbors (whose children are currently attending) also sing the praises of the school and have had nothing but positives to communicate about the principal, administration and teachers, FWIW.

Welcome to the community! There is a school supply sale on Saturday, August 10, which you may have already heard about, and the first week (August 26-30) is all half days with children being let out at 11AM. Also be aware that if your child(ren) will be taking the bus in Carroll ISD, there is a cost of $250/year for one child, $500/yr maximum for two or more children. You probably already know this, but it doesn't hurt to communicate it just in case.

Again, hello and welcome! I hope you and your family enjoy living in the area!

Thanks Synchronicity... Appreciate the info...On Great schools there were some not so good reviews about Walnut Grove so thought of getting some reviews here....We will be moving by end of this month...Does it matter for a school to be blue ribbon?..Someone told that Rockenbaugh is best among all...But from scores all seem to be nice to me as well... But sometimes parents reviews help a lot so Thanks for your input.
