Hi,

I will be moving into the area to work at Arlington Memorial Hospital on W Randol Mill Rd and would like to keep my commute to 5-10 minutes. My desired budget is $300,000, but I can go to $400,000 if needed. I've searched through this forum and talked to colleagues and it looks as if North Arlington in the Butler Elementary area is a good option. I do have two children, ages 1 & 2. I understand the schools after elementary are not as good, but given the kids ages, that would be nine or so years down the road.

I have been looking at listings on MLS north of 30 and west of Cooper in 76012. Are there any neighborhoods in this area that are concerning for any reason?

Are there any other areas that you would suggest with the limited commute time?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Prestonwood is a lovely neighborhood; my son has loved living there for 8 years. He plans on living there for at least another 10 years. There are some lovely neighborhoods all thru those N.Arl hills North of I-30 and west of Fielder. Tanglewood, on the south side is also gorgeous, some homes with lovely canal views -- and is served by a good elementary school, too.

Butler is a good elementary school. My grandkid attends and will be going back to Oakridge School (she attended for preschool & pre-K) for middle and high school.
