Hi all,

Looking for country style living (houses not side by side/matchbox/postage stamp lots), with good neighborhoods and schools in the Fort Worth area.

Right now Middle School and eventually High School most important. Work would be directly downtown Fort Worth.

Thank you for help and suggestions.

frugal... We currently pay 800.00 for a two bed, two bath town home in a good neighborhood. Somewhere close to that would be great.

Ha ha ha... Mobile home? So, maybe I should ask about the good areas for school, country living first. Then try to find a place that fits my desired rate.

$800 monthly won't buy a house with good schools, short commute and land. You might find a mobile home near Azle for that price...

Guys/Gals, don't get hung up on the 800.00.. Also, don't want to buy right now, want to rent. Also, I didn't say "short commute". Where are the good schools, good communities?

tks.

Aledo comes to mind, but homes there are much more than your budget for renting or buying.
Burleson also has good schools and has rural areas.
Azle is mostly rural and has decent schools.
Weatherford is very good, but the commute will be longer.

Ok...Aledo to start...

good schools
my subdivision has roughly 1/2 acre lots
>>do you want larger or smaller than that?
commute from my subdivision to West 7th at University is roughly 35 minutes
a 4 bedroom house on a street near me is currently for lease at $1750/mo and my subdivision is one of the less expensive in Aledo.

You say not to get hung up on the $800 you mention...but clearly an idea of what you are truly willing/able to pay is important.

Some other possibilities might include: Joshua ISD, Godley ISD, some areas of Burleson, some areas of Cleburne, Northwest ISD.
