article in the FTW paper today said that city has agreed to allow well drilling sites in two of the city parks--
North Richland Hills OKs drilling at Little Bear Creek Park | Business | Star-Telegram.com (broken link)
one park is Little Bear Creek and the article says there will be horizontal drilling (which means the well site could be a mile +/- away)
this google map link is to better view of the land--

I have driven past that piece of open land lots of times and did not know it was a park--it is not listed that way on map like other parks in NRHills are
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
if it does not come out right--just enter continental trail, north richland hills, tx

the well site would be in the section south of Tarrant Parkway and north of Continental that backs up to a neighborhood --cool for them huh? they are in Highland Creek estates which is in KELLER--and they nor their city council had nothing to say or do about having that drilling rig put where it was--
check out this link and move the satellite map to the last street to the right/east--and you can see where the well site is supposed to go--right behind Creekridge Drive--PLEASE this is not an add for the realtor--just a means to show prospective the well location

One thing...Keller has also approved drilling in their city, though I don't find anywhere that shows they've actually had one done. So I can't imagine they'd be against one in NRH when they've approved them for their own city?

NEW drilling...the talk in Keller is drilling somewhere Behind the Caterbury neighborhood. I think off of Simmons rd where there are a few small acrage farms.
We were at a party in Cantebury and they were talking about proposed drilling behind them.
I live on the other side of Rufe snow and we have gotten flyers about leasing mineral rights etc...

But i believe they already have drilled in Keller...
There is a ATMOS gas site of of Rapp RD. And they layed new lines all down Rufe snow not long ago.
