Hi. I am from Houston but is interested in teaching in the DFW. I don't care what school, I only need a job. Does anyone know the best way to apply for jobs.

do a search for posts about teaching and see what all of them say

basically there are NO JOBS to be had unless you know someone who can get you an interview, have a specialty that is in demand like science/math/special ed, or are a terrific coach...

principals are starting to feel like deer on opening day--I am sure many, many people are trying to get into to see them to leave their apps vs leaving it to the personnel office to call them...

and there is a region site for all of the TX areas--
most of them have a central job board but often jobs at the end of the summer come up quickly and are just as quickly filled w/o being posted on the jobs board...

get your resume into the hands of principals in the larger districts like Lewisville, Keller, Carrollton-Farmers Branch, Plano, Dallas, FTW--although for the last two I would be pretty selective about which schools I chose...
you MIGHT be lucky and have your info on a principal's desk when a job opening comes up
but don't count on it
many jobs even right before school starts are going to be filled by rolling teachers from one school with suddenly lower enrollment to another school where job opens up...
many teachers this next year are going to be teaching out of their normal element--like a 2nd grade teacher moved up to 4th or 6th...or maybe a teacher who was teaching English is going to teach Speech and not be certified in that area--just because they will need someone for one or two sections--not an entire class load...
this is going to hurt the school's performance rating -- having people teaching where they technically are not "certified"...so some ratings could be affected next year...just depends on how many fall into that crack...

HEB ISD has some jobs posted in elementary and secondary fields--some of the jr/sr high jobs need coaching exp
you can check out the list on the district's web site
I was surprised to see any when I looked today
getting an interview of course is a different proposition altogether
