I'm planning on relocating to Fort Worth, and was wondering if there were apartments that accept cats only? I'm really not too keen on living in an apartment that has dogs, since the barking can get very annoying. Or are the options only "cats & dogs" or "no pets"?

think apts would be more likely to take dogs only vs cats--
many people don't like them and they can be even more distructive than dogs inside an apt

have not seen any of them like that--more the both or none options

I figured that since I've been looking online and can't find any cat only apts. In Wisconsin, were I currently stay, its the other way around-it's not common for an apt to accept dogs and most of them accept cats only. So I have 2 options, to tolerate an apt with dogs or to leave my cats with family and get a "no pets" apt. Tough choice!

In an apartment, dogs barking are less likely to be a problem than loud music coming through the walls.

Some apts limit pets to a certain weight limit, say, under 15 pounds. this would exclude most dogs.

weight limit only excludes larger dogs and (probably) more dangerous dogs like pit bulls so you don't get into arguments with their owners about are they a threat or not...
(I know, I know...some people feel these dogs are stereotyped as dangerous...)

Thanks for the replies! I don't want to make a ~1500 mile move and be miserable once I get there, just from the apartment I've chosen!

Look at apartmentguide.com, they have an application for i-phone if you have one. Or try apartmentfinder.com.
