Hi, I was wondering if someone might know of a good realtor in Frederick. If you happen to know anyone good, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Final question, are there any places to buy in Frederick (1 or 2 bed) under $115K that's in a decent area? I see there are some available, but I'm of course figuring that means they're in a "bad part of town".

Thanks, here are a few:

5803 Drawbridge Ct, Frederick, MD 21703
103 Market St South, Frederick, MD 21701
431 Terry Ct, Frederick, MD 21701
601 Himes Ave, Frederick, MD 21702
823 Stratford Way, Frederick, MD 21701

Also looking at 19 S. Jefferson St, Frederick, MD 21701, a little bit more at 165K.

I mean, I could afford more if I had to, but I'd love to keep my mortgage+taxes under $850/mo if possible.

Disclaimer - I lived in Frederick about 5 years and moved out in 2007. I don't know what has changed since then, and I am not an "expert" in the way I am about Allegany County, but here are my two cents

1. Drawbridge - Close to my old haunts. Should be fine. Very close to I-270 though.
2. Market - that one block between South and All Saints was a little sketchy to me. One block up and the gentrification begins, one block down in mostly residential, but never felt quiet right on that block, to close too South St. for me and the businesses catered to that clientelle. That small area was the big target area for gentrification as I was leaving town, so it may be better now.
3. Terry - there were some old apts by that shopping plaza that were being converted to condos right as I was leaving town and the market crashed. I don't know much about the neighborhood.
4 Himes - VERY close to where I used to live. I never had any problems there. It is close to the Hispanic part of town, which scares some people off, but again, I lived there and found it very pleasant.
5.Stratford - I knew someone who lived there for a year or two. It was relatively "low end" by suburb standards, but again, he had no problems living there.

So in conclusion, these places are all seem to be "older" suburban construction, with less than ideal locations (I-270, other side of the tracks, close to little El Salvador, etc.) but none of them jump out at me as being in the more dangerous parts of town except the one on Market, and that may have changed by now.
