Is the Frederick MARC station a stand alone boarding point or do you need to catch a connector/transfer bus from there to get the train?

If it is a station, does anyone know if there are any issues with getting a seat on the train in Frederick on a Monday morning? I am specifically looking at the 7:10 departure and I would prefer not to get there and find out that there are no seats left.

Thank you.

The Frederick MARC station has 3 departures for DC every weekday morning. There are a few departures from Brunswick station for which there is a connecting bus to Frederick station. But the 7:10 does in fact depart from the station in downtown Frederick, no bus required.

Don't be confused by the previous poster. The 991 commuter bus does not stop at the Frederick MARC station, it stops at the Monocacy station (in the south end of Frederick). It also doesn't go to DC, it goes directly to Shady Grove, where you would get on the Metro Red Line to get to DC. It might be a little quicker, but if I were going to downtown DC I'd rather just take the MARC directly to union station.

I never said 991 stoped at federick I said at monocracy. all I said was it was faster along with the shady grove metro rail. So hands up is right on that. the 991 however has more trips available.
