I miss the old days when these were FREE!!!! Even as recently as the mid 1990s, we were allowed 3-5 free ones/mo. Now, none of them appears to be free. Even whitepages.com, which I used to use frequently is out to make a buck. Any freebies still out there?
I Personaly have not 'looked up' or 411'ed any person phone number in 20 years+ If I know the person I have there number. also something like 75% of people are not listed anyway. - Unlisted Nunbers -Cell Only -Just Moved here - Changed number
I have used white pages.com from time to time for Personal # for some of my friends parents, but that is so hit or miss I don't even try most of the time.
Back in the days of landlines and no Internet, I found using the huge phone books to be almost impossible due to my arthritic hands. The phone company gave me a form to have my doctor fill out, stating I wasn't physically able to use the phone books, and I was able to get free DA.
