If your getting a normal amount of sun, 6 hours daily, then you need to check your acidity and your water habits. They need complete acid soil kept at a moist level. Overwatering and or underwatering will have a major effect on the blooming and colors. I always stress to people to pick up a moisture meter, $5.00 or so, at a garden center. It will save you a lot of trouble by telling you your acidity and how much moisture is there. Then you can judge when to water and when to feed the plants.
