I think the pink one is a phlox.

The white one is a morning glory relative, which can be a very mixed blessing. The weedy ones are very thuggish, and terrible to get rid of. Take a sample to your nearest Master Gardener or botanist forthwith.

The white one looks like bindweed rather than a cultivated morning glory. It's considered a noxious weed in many areas. Here's some information:

Field Bindweed — Weed Management — Penn State Extension
CO Noxious Weeds - Management of field bindweed

Note the stuff about the 20-foot root systems.... persistent hand-pulling as soon as you see shoots will prevent the stuff from choking out your other plants, but you'll never kill it completely that way.

Periwinkle left, bindweed right. Google them.

Periwinkle? No - definitely not. The pink one, on the left, is phlox.

Volcano Phlox - Volcano Pink with Red Eye - Anthony Tesselaar International

The camera angle distorts the plant's height, I think.

That is DEFINITELY a Phlox paniculata on the left, and as said before, field bindweed on the right. Get rid of the bindweed ASAP. It spreads like wildfire and takes over everything it touches.

I was going to say that is definitely Sweet William but I think that's just another name for phlox?
The white one looks like bindweed to me.

That's the trouble with common names. I've always seen the name sweet william applied to certain relatives of carnations. But I have no idea whether phlox are called sweet william in your area.
