I finally took a pic of my friends plant because I can't confirm the name via my books and the internet is still leaving me unconvinced.

It is close to an Astra Blue Balloon flower, but I am not sure. What do you think? The leaves have me confused.
Please identify this plant-img_1921.jpg

Thanks one and all. You guys are the best.

It looks like Platycodon, balloon flower. I have one in my garden. I can't narrow it down more than that but probably there are different varieties.

edited: Both posts are correct. It is balloon flower or bell flower. Campanula. Still don't know if it's any particular variety though.

Thanks to both of you. The flower looked correct but the leaves threw me.
