I had to do a search last week for Home Depot and Lowes. I found 14 bags at the Lowes in Scio and 10 in Howell. I ordered 2 for pick up in Scio which is 30 minutes from me. I purchased 2 bags. The next day all of them were gone.
I've been down with a back injury since the middle of December. I've missed 2 applications by their schedule. The yard, despite our having 102F temps for a couple of weeks now and no rain, still looks green and is the best looking yard on the street. We only get to water for 4 hours a week so it's not that we're watering and nobody else is. Seems like Milorganite has a considerable residual effect. I'll be putting on the July 4th application next week. FWIW, I keep several bags on hand and buy it off schedule. Don't know what's in it, don't care what's in it. It works and that's all I care about. I've spent over 50 bucks for a bag full of junk and chemicals that didn't do anything. I can spend a lot less and know it's going to work. Want a green yard and water less, here's the ticket-Milorganite.
I stocked up earlier this year when I was able to get HD to price match an online price.
Is there a Lowe’s near you?
Neither Lowe's OR Home Depot has any nearby. I need 15 something bags at a time (1/2 acre lot), and at almost $13 a bag, plus the space they'd take up, I can't afford to stockpile it.
I am in love with this stuff. Used it for the first time ever in late April and it has done wonders for the grass. I had no problem getting 8 bags from a local Ace, but Tractor Supply has been sold out for two months according to the sales associate I spoke with. Plan to put it down this coming weekend.

Home Depot just got in 53 bags. I ordered 10 bags online and paid through PayPal to make sure they'd be waiting for me, and just came home from picking them up! It's 90 degrees out there right now, on it's way higher, so I'm holding off a bit before spreading it as that's too hot for me.
It's supposed to rain a little before about 8pm, and I'll get it down by then. That way it'll be watered in a bit, and not smell so bad.
That is what we all are here for anyways is trying to learn whatever we can from one another.

As for Milorganite, this thread is the first I heard of it, and it's been a near miracle on getting my all but dead lawn restored to some health. Reminding when to do it through the year helps.

I'm not sure where you are in Michigan but the Lowes in Westland has 37 bags, Southgate 56, Woodhaven 15 and Southfield 56 and Bloomfield Hills, 6. Order it online and they will hold it for 3 days.
I bought 4 bags from Walmart, with free home delivery.
