Any hose reel recommendations? Bought a home depot hose reel box (Suncast?), lasted 2 years but it seems like the winter freeze broke the hose connection and it leaks like crazy now.
I use cheap hose for my lesser used spigots, those I use to water one particular shrub/tree/bed, eg. a hose I won't be moving around.
The byzantine watering strategy I use for my front yard beds and boxes requires a good quality hose that can be pulled, twisted, pulled back on itself, an so on.
Fix it. Replace whats needed with good quality fittings.
And come fall prepare for the cold by draining it down.
I was negligent and did not disconnect the hose from the box for the winter. I only disconnect the hose from the main spigot.
The plastic around the hose connection is all cracked and spewing water, so its not a simple hose connection repair.
