I live in Northern Virginia and considering planting a Weeping Red Bud tree in my small front yard. Please share any experience you have with this tree in NOVA. Thanks in advance!!
I planted 2 Eastern Redbud trees 10 years ago. The one at the front of House is in the drainage path so no luck of water for this guy. It took off with faster growth, stronger branches, thicker trunk. It looks more like a tree. I had to prune the lower branches so the tree looks like an umbrella instead of an igloo.
The other one planted on top of a berm grew slower. But it has the classic spreading out pattern.
