What is it called? How to get rid of it?

Most herbicide does not kill it.

Thanks.

It is crab grass.

Round Up will kill it.

Then get the roundup that kills the weeds but not grass. Or just pull it out. Thankfully crab grass is an annul and will die off come fall and winter. Just remember to put down a pre emergent next spring.

It looks more like goose grass to me. Very hard to get rid of without ruining the grass around it.

OP click on this website for information about your crabgrass.
How to Get Rid of Crabgrass: Prevent and Control Crabgrass
https://www.lowes.com/n/how-to/control-crabgrass

Note: Round-up(glyphosate) kills crabgrass but it also kills the grass and any other plants nearby where you spray it. It has no residual effect in the soil so your grass can eventually grow and cover the areas affected.

Where you located?

AVOID Roundup as it kills weeds and what ever grass you have in the lawn.

Coming to end of the summer season. Refer to this:Helpful Lawn Care Tips.
