Wow nice! I wish we could grow peppers like that. No luck with them yet. And those zuchs are HUGE! Our variety gets pithy when they get too big. How are those?

Got some really nice carrots off tonight.

Note to self: LEAVE THE CARROTS IN UNTIL LATE SEPTEMBER! They are so much nicer than the early pick.

My wife is using the squash, zucchini's, onions, bell peppers and tomatoes to make ratatouille tonight. Our daughter is allergic to eggplant, so we don't grow it but my wife loves eggplant so she did buy one small one and added it to half the dish.

The sauce is homemade, the herbs are homemade- the only thing bought is olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper and eggplant.

It smells delicious even before going into the oven. We're going to have this along with a little venison loin broiled with blue cheese.

Lotsa sun and sandy soil raised beds ( rows) - having a great year.
We shredded&freeze most of the monster zuch - its great added to almost anything. Some I cut 1” thick slabs and put on the grill ( olive oil/ pepper/salt) - they’re almost as good as the steaks ( and taste like steaks when I sometimes add worstershire when grilling! These I planted from seeds in July along with rows of sweet corn ( Texas/ fall garden) - got hardly anything from spring garden.
