Hello
I don't see an introduction section in the main forum, so thought since I will be hanging around here mostly, I would do it here.
I am retired, in Ontario, Canada and will be out gardening as soon as this darn snow all melts. I have 1 1/2 acres of land with about a 30x60 in ground plot. Also this year I have built some planters and raised beds. Never tried this before, so I can likely use some advice.

I am not seeing how to post pics, so could use some help with that.

thanks
Harry

Hi and welcome to the gardening forum.

Since you're new to City Data forum I think you have to make something like around 10 posts or so first before you can start posting other websites' links or your own personal photos to City Data forums. The following link is to CD's FAQ section and it has a couple of posts explaining how to download photos to the forum: https://www.city-data.com/forum/faq/...ing-posts.html

Or else if that doesn't work for you then you can go here to post a question about how to do it: https://www.city-data.com/forum/about-forum/

.

Welcome all! For photos you can use a 3rd party host- I use Imgur for mine.

I love to hear and see photos of everyone's gardening endeavors. I've had some inspiration from a number of posters, so keep it coming.

OP here. I did get my raised beds up and running. It worked out quite well if I do say so myself. I also planted some sunflowers of which one shot up to over 12 ft so far.

Welcome Aiden. As SnazzyB said, just dive in. If you're confused about where to find things ask questions, if you're not confused then post answers. There's some really great people inhabiting the garden forum.

Great pictures. nice gardening successes ....... cute kiddies too.

In picture # 5, in the large mowed area on the other side of the fence there's that big patch of greenery sticking up in the middle ....... is that your potato patch? You picked a fantastic location for it.

Pretty darned impressive height for your sunflower plant.
