Is there enough slack in the cord that you can tuck it under the doorsill frame? IMHO, any "thin" cord (that may translate into lack of insulation or not intended for outdoor use) running across an entrance long term is just asking for trouble. It's going to need adjustment over and over again, it will get stepped on, tripped over, snagged, putting strain on connections and plugs, abraded by dirt, degraded by UV exposure, and eventually damaged exposing the bare wire. Bare "hot" wire exposed to the elements isn't a good thing. I'd install hard wired lights on the wall over your bushes. Either that or mount cordless battery powered lights.
No, unfortunately there isn't anywhere under the door frame that I could do that...it's sealed.
Got the mat today not only works like a charm but also looks great
Thanks to everyone
