Have several different rhodies (they're not all in bloom yet) but I wanted to share a few with you. The last one I caught "in the act" of pollination

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing these. I love the light purple ones the best. Do you have problems with deer?

How long do they bloom in your area??? In NE FL they bloom Late March/Early April and for one week they look wonderful, the second week OK and by the third the blooms are all over the ground.

But isn't that the way all perennials are?

A little longer, I would say. The buds don't all open at the same time, so depending on the weather, it can take a week or a couple of days to open all the way - then a week or so of full bloom and another week of less than perfect. The good thing is, I have different varieties, and they don't all start to bloom at the same time; some haven't opened yet--guess I'm lucky
