need help in identifying this bush (landscaping, Hibiscus, azaleas, leaves)

I believe it is an azalea but it could be a rhobodrone.

They look so similar in the store, I can't tell the difference.

Azalea. Rhododendrons have larger leaves,

I agree, and they're planted too close to your house.

Azalea's are rhododendrons (but not necessarily the other way around). Look at the botanical name of azaleas, and you'll see "Rhododendron." At first glance, that looks like a PJM hybrid.

That is not my house but I wanted to do something similar for my own house. Is this not a good placing for this bush?

Azaleas like shade........is that where you want to plant them?

Rhododendrons, (dang, that's a hard word to spell, huh!), can get pretty big, like hibiscus....(or even a lot bigger than hibiscus).. And I think deer like to chew on them, too....
