We have a piano that is over 100 years old that belonged to my ggg grandmother. My mom has 2 oil paintings that belonged to the same grandmother. My ggg grandfather had them made for her. We have photos and letters from that family also. I also have a mirror that belonged to her. The frame broke, so we have it stored until I can get a new frame or get the current frame repaired.
I have letters that my gg grandmother wrote in the late 1800s and early 1900s and family photos.
My gg aunt loved to paint. We have several of her oil paintings. She was a very special aunt and looking at her paintings is a really nice way to remember her.
I have an old porcelain rolling pin w/ blue designs on it that belonged to my ggg grandmother, also letters written among family members as far back as the Civil War.
I have post cards from the late 1800's that were sent to my gm, when she was a child. A pocket watch from my ggm & a mourning pin(I did research to mainly find out what it was made of & in the process found out what kind of pin it is).
1865 Civil War pictures of a great grandfather and uncles, a mantle clock from my grandmothers 1905 wedding, recipes from 1800s, five generation picture, Boy Scout items. MY father was youngest Eagle Scout in America at age 11 in 1922 and a picture of my aunt in ballet shoes 'en point". She loved to dance, but she was an internationally known designer. Picture os my ggg.grandfathers home. Somewhere I have a dae post card of Charles Limburg on his last delivery. A great aunt witnessed it and sent it to my mother about 1922 and a document from the RW. Actual pictures of the destruction in Hawii after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
The thing about 'stuff" is that it is not very important to very many people except family.
We have far too many heirlooms and antiques to list them all. Some of my favorites though:
Love letters between my 3rd great grandparents from 1837
Tin types of several of my ancestors circa 1860s
Old recipe books from various generations
Oil painting of my 4th great grandfather from about the mid 1800s

Reason: typo
Mother's family Bible in Cymraeg ('Welsh') printed in 1806 with family events back to the 1780's listed; collection of family postcards from about 1900 to 1920 including some rare ones from the Front; chair given to my Great-grandfather by his Sunday-school class; memorial plate made for my gt-grandmother; some stories about those of my family who went with gt-gt-gt-grandmother to Patagonia.
Lets make it even better - anyone want to share pictures/scans of their mentioned items?
