I am looking for information about Coxheath Alabama. It was incorporated in 1916 and was a small lumber community. If anyone has any information about this area I would greatly appreciate it. It was located in Marengo County.

Here's a quick piece of history:

Coxheath is a village and civil parish within the Borough of Maidstone , Kent , England.

Coxheath, Alabama is an unincorportated area in SE Alabama, in Marengo County. I found a website for the Alabama Historical Preservation. Alabama Historical Commission

Unincorporated areas are a pill to research; been there, done that. . What I learned is the librarian at the nearest town probably forgot more about Coxheath than you will find on the internet, and she will probably advised you to contact the historical society. The good news is the librarian knows all the resources; has all the phone numbers and contacts, plus she has local phone books for many years or she knows where you can find them.

Most librarians are happy to fulfull a basic reserach request.

Good luck
