Hi, I am from Rio Grande do Sul, I am 20 years old, are there any Brasilians here who have taken 23andme?

I'm not Brasilian, but thanks for posting (otherwise wouldn't have known that 23andme has revised the ancestry composition display).

Sure, my haplogroups are-

Mom - T2a - Irish (maybe some English)
Dad - J2a1b1* - Scottish (maybe some Mi'kmaq) and Italian

What are your haplogroups SouGaucho?

these results are not worth much.
your chart is 70% non-specific European.
I don't see the value in this "23" craze
it fails to differentiate between European heritages.

I think they are getting better now, they are working to have it become more accurate, they will be making some changes in the next few years, I also heard they will be adding more samples

Isn't it true that they can only get as precise as the present genetic databases permit ?
I don't think the specific identifiers have been identified to the necessary extent.
They continue to present results in a modern nationalistic format, instead of anthropological
genotypes. This is not true anthropology. There is much cross-strain even if you back
to Coon's Plates. For example in 23 and me, a client could be represented as a modern
nationality without regard to the anthropologic mixtures present within that country today.
They should be capable of remitting results based on anthropology, not geographic location,
because the Map of Europe has seen untold crossings and mixtures and redrawings in the
course of its complex history.

But Snowball, how many of the participants in any of the many DNA projects are interested in detail anthrologic details? Most that I have contacts with are interested in only a genealogical map.
