I just saw some name records, and a wealthy, established family in Virginia has "Butt" as their last name. Women are still marrying into it.

I wouldn't want to live a single day with that name.

I would change it if it was me.

How would you feel about having a surname like that?

And then there's this family-owned drugstore in Corydon, Indiana.

They're quite proud of their name.

I've went to school with a couple of kids named Butt. Also Fink. In the 60's being called a fink was much worse.

I've discovered, while reading census lists, a lot of Slutts. I was pretty surprised to discover my family has lived among Slutts for a couple hundred years.

Butt is cute. SLUTTS is not. I recently watched a prison show and one of the female inmate's last name was "HOOKER".

Hell no! I would change that darn name!!!

There's a whole chain of very popular grocery stores in Texas that was started by the Butt family.

Of course, they are called H-E-B (for the founder's initials) and not "Butt's" ...

It's a German name and pronounced sloot. When hearing family members talk about them (a much-respected farming family) I'd always assumed it was spelled Sloot as well. Nope.

Change my name?
You bet your butt I would!

There are many names that I would not and could not live with. Many. And I wouldn't care who I offended.
