I've used this website before trying to figure out causes of death and occupations!

Unfortunately it didn't have an entry for the occupation of "Recef." If anyone knows that that is, it would be appreciated. Others that were odd I've come across I could figure out. I remember one of a population I was studying of my hometown had the occupation of "Reseller of Old Clothes" on the 1870 census. I thought that was an odd occupation for the time period and figured maybe he was the Goodwill thrift store of his day.

Another illnesses that threw me for a loop was "Phthisis Pneumonalis Congestion of the Lungs," looking this up lead me to this site. It is another term for tuberculosis/consumption. A majority of my 3rd great grandparents and some of my 2nd great grandparents, and one of my great grandmothers all died from TB.
