Today is the last day of the $49 special. I'm thinking of getting a kit for my dad. I have to pay shipping to get it to me since I'm just buying one. Does anyone know if I have to pay again to ship it back? Or is it included. Thank you!
No, you don't have to pay shipping to send it to them. A postage paid box comes with it.
If you have Amazon Prime though, you can get it shipped for free via Amazon with your membership. But not sure if they have the $49 price. I bought a FTDNA kit last week and when I tried to get it off Amazon, they had a $49 price instead of $39 which is advertised on FTDNA. It is only $1 cheaper with shipping, but a dollar is a dollar lol.
No you don't pay again. When you purchase the kit. It automatically charges shipping for the return. I just sent mine on Nov 9. It was $59. The total bill was $68. I've been notified my DNA has been extracted, and will be ready in another 2 to 4 weeks for results.
I just got my results back. It only took 3 weeks of processing.
Hoping my uncles comes back quick too. Right now it's on (Nov 29) sample processing. Hoping for a miracle that it goes a little quicker because I will just miss the My Heritage new upload date (Dec 16th). It would come back around December 20th.
