It's the end of dec and I am planning on moving to Tampa Florida from Portland Oregon and I'm not sure what the best route would be to take. Is it even possible this time of year? And advice would help. I'd like to Wait till summer but that's not much of a choice. I just really need to get out of here and Tampa is the only other place where I have Fam and friends. Does anyone also know how the job market there is?
Yep I moved from Tampa to Ohio and have made one bad choice after another . Tampas job market is stinky right now , I have a cousin still stuck there and she cannot even find a waitress job , she used to be a real estate agent and since the economy took a nose dive could not sell a house to save her life .she has also lost her house and is stuck in a trailer park in a trashy part of tampa and it is a struggle for her to pay her rent . I would reconsider Tampa unless you want to live with relatives for the next ten years . Good luck to you whatever you decide .
Go down the west coat through California. Stay as close to the ocean as possible to avoid any snow/ice. Probably I-5 is your best bet.
Jump on I-10 East take it all the way to Florida then I-75 South.
I have driven from Austin to to Seattle in late November and took I-10 to I-5, I missed bad weather other than some fog. Beware... I-10 through AZ, NM, and TX is VERY boring.
If going to sleep at hotels, pick up the coupons at Denny's
