Relocating to Katy (expensive, schools, quote, family)

My family and I want to relocate to Katy, we will be leaving Hawaii (to expensive) and coming to Katy. I was wondering what a 15yo boy and an 8yo girl will have to do in the Mayde Creek area. Does anyone know what the schools are like in that district? How is the Jrotc program at Mayde Creek High School? Please if anyone has any general information about the Mayde Creek area we would like to hear about it.
