Has anyone used Uship to ship cross country? My husband wants to use them and I know nothing about them. I have alot of art and pictures, large ones with glass, and a bit of furniture. Clothes, and electronics. And family stuff we can't lose. I know the shipments are bid on but how good are they at things not getting lost, stolen, etc. Must be out by mid-September. Ugh!
They're a middleman. Read reviews in/around your city.. I put up a listing, got a few offers/bids, then declined them and am going direct to the company that bid after checking their reputation.. .
Nearly every review I found was negative.. That they'll let anyone bid on moving stuff, then they just put you in touch with them..
My only experience with them relates to a couple large items I sold on eBay as "pickup only". Buyers paid me first and arranged for their own pickup and delivery through Uship. In both cases someone showed up as scheduled, I helped them load, and away they went. As far as I know the buyers got their items OK. These were guys who drive the country with a pickup and trailer delivering cars, boats, whatever, and just look for smaller items going their way to help pay the gas.
