In June, I moved from an apartment in the city to a house in the suburbs. Last week I got a jury summons notice sent to my city address (I set up auto redirect mail to my new address) and I mailed in an electric bill that reflects my new address as proof that I live in the suburban house now. However, I got a notice back from the jury supervisor that they needed proof I am not a "city resident".
Does anyone have any advice on how I can submit good proof that I no longer live in the city?
Unfortunately, my driver's license still reflects my city address, so I can't send that in.
Where was your last tax return filed for? A different state, city, etc? Use your assessment from the IRS as proof of where you were last living. For your current address, you must have a lease or mortgage, or at the very least, your utility bills as proof of residency. Your utility bills would be sufficient IMO, but I'm not certain.
A water or utility bill. Should have asked what they accepted.
