Hi everyone, I am planning a one-way move at the end of this month from Maryland to Maine (well...technically to New Brunswick, Canada) and I'll be renting a 15-foot truck and towing my car. I plan to leave at midnight to make the most of the emptier nighttime roads.
Understanding that I won't be able to take the truck on certain roads that Google Maps would otherwise recommend I take, I think my best bet is to just stay on i-95 all the way north until I cut off and go east across the border. I don't know what this will look like in terms of tolls, though. Has anyone done a drive on 95 from MD to ME and have suggestions of how to avoid some of the more costly tolls without adding too much additional time to the drive (it's already going to be about 13 hours), that a 15-foot uhaul would be allowed to take? I'm especially concerned about driving in New York City and would like to avoid that all together if possible: I'm already going to be nervous enough driving a 15-foot truck, much less with a car on the tow dolly.

Bring an actual paper map atlas book ($5 at Wally's). Send a postcard.
glad to hear you're only moving one way. lol. thanks for the tickle. and beware of drunks at night. personally i'd rather do things in the daytime. my night drives have not been fun. being tired i often go a hundred miles in the wrong direction.
