Let me guess you tossed the box that it came in. My wifes nephew has had his tv for maybe 3 years now and still has the box it came in. Each time he moves he loades it in the box. We recently bought one this year and I kept the box. Ours is a 55 inch smart tv. The box stores nicely in the rafters in the garage. Chances are we will never move and I will end up tossing that box. As for my wifes nephew he bought the TV, a 50 inch unit, when he was going to Sacramento State. He knew that he would be moving and decided to keep the box. I know that won't work for someone that has lost the box but it is a good idea for those that have not stopped moving around.

Like others have said, sell it and buy new when you arrive.. Flat Screens are becoming so cheap.. You might not get much out of the one you have now by selling..But you can put that toward a new one and NOT have to shell out a bunch of money...

Not sure about a TV that large but to ship my 27" iMac from CA to HI was about $200. That included them to pack it all up. Like pp said you are probably better off selling the TV and buying a new one. You can always take it to UPS and get a quote or just tell them dimensions and weight.

I used NowShip to ship my three computer monitors and 42" Samsung TV from Harrisburg, PA to Los Angeles, CA. They even made sure they were at my apartment once I got there that day it was perfect timing with the planning and execution. NowShip has earned my business and with discounted rates I'm not going anywhere else. Just my two cents at the end of the day so to each their own.

Yeah when we move, I'm going to keep our 75" 4K 3D TV for several reasons, not the least of which is they don't even make 3D TVs anymore and I bought it specifically so I'd still have a 3D TV as I love home 3D technology. Second, though, TVs of that size and quality are still expensive, so it's worth taking.

ALL of the rest of the TVs, the 65", 50", 42", and 32" are going to be sold for cheap because they're all 1080p older TVs and easily replaceable with better models at the new location that better suit my needs.
