Is it wrong to judge an area by its beer, music, and culture?

I think its somewhat important to judge an area by the first two things, AND especially its culture . I think its culture is of vital importance to you and how you will fit in. One of the things I personally judge about any particular area that i visit, (and youre going to laugh at this...) is if their public toilet seats have urine on the top ! Frankly, I think this says ALOT about peoples consideration and values in any given locale ; if you are constantly finding urine splattered toilet seats then you can assume an attitude of apathy, inconsiderate behaviour in general, and valueLESS people . Now...I do understand you may get a string of LowLifes in a row not bothering to lift up the toilet seat which may throw off your conclusion...but, if you are using public restrooms at local restaurants, local gas stations, local public parks, and local librarys in the same locale ...then I do believe it is a fairly accurate analysis .

IE: When i lived in northern Illinois (far north suburb of Chicago), it was RARE that you DIDNT find a urine-laden toilet seat including the Fitness Center i belonged to. Now i live in the Florida Panhandle, during the 5 months ive lived here, ive found ONE toilet seat that had just a few drops on it.

So...it pays to be a Toilet Inspector when youre considering an area ! Regards.

P.S> (Hopefully) this does not apply to womens toilet seats in public places ...lol....

P.S.S> I think another valid consideration is : If you find meal bags at a Burger King, McDonalds, or other fast food restaurant ... left on the ground in the parking spot someone occupied when there is a garbage can very close by in easy view. Again, its the attitude of people. Also, the general condition of the Town itself...whether it is laden with garbage alongside the roads including beer cans, the looks of the Buildings in a town, and the overall appearance of peoples homes/yards/and themselves.

I would have to agree with you on the toilet seat thing and go further and just say bathroom cleanliness.
