oooo I would love Georgia. Atlanta seems like a nice city. It would be nice to not be stuck indoors for months and months at a time, I like hot but not cold. I used to be one of those who loved winters, it looks pretty outside but seriously it mostly sucks.
I'm the type of a person who loves playing in the snow, and not being scared whenever it snows. I imagine Minneapolis residents can handle driving in the snow better than Atlanta residents. I should know because I have friends from Minnesota who tell me that the scariest thing about driving in snow(whenever it does fall) in Atlanta is other drivers who aren't used to driving in it. And extremely hot, humid summers that last from late April to late September are not something I'm fond of.
If you're in the backwater parts of Mississippi, Alabama, South Georgia, and alot of Appalachia, perhaps. If you're in Charlotte or even Atlanta, not so much.

What parts of Atlanta did you go to? Atlanta has alot of problems, like a relatively lacking transportation system, a bad urban design, but I would call Birmingham a dump over all.
I am going to say something to all the people who want to move to the south. I am a PNW guy and I decided to take a chance in South Carolina. Worst decision in my life.

Be smart when looking for greener pastures
Interesting. I used to live in the Pacific Northwest and my family moved to South Carolina(I was a child). It was "okay" but it wasn't that great of a place to live. The culture, everything else, it was different. The thing is, my father only moved us there because he got a job there. He regrets it today. I went back to South Carolina to visit, and I wasn't too thrilled about it.
