I am hoping to get some input on a good beach city for young professionals in their 20's-30's on the southeast coast. Within the next year or so I plan on moving to a beach city or somewhere that is near the ocean. I am considering states such as Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. I'd prefer a decently big, safe city, with a decent amount to do. I'm looking for a place with a decent nightlife, a physically active community, southern charm, and in general, down to earth people.
Ideas?
