Just a quick check on the # of threads for each state revealed several states with over 1,000 threads (17 to be exact), and only one with over 10K threads. Just thought Id post them here, feel free to comment if youd like.
In descending order (most threads to least), here are City-Data's most inquired-about states:
Interesting. Thanks for that Steve-O. Wow. As a former North Carolina resident, who doesn't read or contribute to that forum much because it's so busy that it's overwhelming, I'm a bit perplexed as to why it's the Holy Grail of the forum....no offense to those who live there of course. It has almost twice as many threads as the second place state, Texas. I knew the NC forum was insanely busy and have heard lots about NC on this board, but I didn't realize it was THAT much more popular than other states.
Out of curiosity, since I'm not sure where these stats are found, what are the "least popular" states on City Data?

Many of the posts on the NC forum are questions about moving there. I posted a bunch myself. It is a beautiful area where people are flocking in droves. That's why I decided to look elsewhere to move as I don't want to be around droves of people.
Right now, SW VA is my choice for a potential move.
