Its been often said that American culture has been regarded as an ESTJ-dominated one if you're trying to classify American society according to the MBTI personality types!

However I'm very sure that America, being a very diverse country, CAN'T have EVERY single state in the union being ESTJ in character and I'm sure there's got to be variations amongst the cultures of each of the 50 states!

So Psych people out there, what do you think is the MBTI type of your state and some other places that you've probably lived in before? Why so?

Feel free to discuss this! Thanks!

Seattle is definitely INTP. There are many citizens who are INTP (me included).

ESTJ-dominated country? Wow. I'm an INFP, the complete opposite. No wonder I don't fit in here.

I don't think states could fit personalities, but if I had to:

Minnesota: ISFP

I'm an INTJ (when I was tested) but I don't want to live in Massachusetts or Connecticut.

I can see South Carolina as INTP, Virginia as ENFP.

Default Product of Illinois

I'm from Illinois and I'm ISTJ, so Quentin's list looks right to me. There's plenty to investigate in that state, according to its reputation. Very interesting way to categorize states.
